Modern blue/black flower and vine nail design
This definitely wasn't my best (any Dane Cook fans? come on')! I was heading out to a party and needed something semi normal and a bit classy. I didn't know what to do but had the general idea for contrasting colors and a "flowy" design so, this is what I came up with. I know that I have seen similar designs before but I can't remember where so I can't give credit.
Reviewing my Everyday Minerals-- so far!
Okay so here it is! What I like and what I don't and what is still in the middle in my opinion.
What I like:
What I like:
- I love that I mixed my own foundation! It is perfect and I had fun experimenting with the colors that I received. I felt like a mixologist or an alchemist.
- The easy application--wow! I save so much time with mineral foundation that it is amazing! I feel fresh and look awake with little to no effort which is always a plus.
- The blushes are beautiful! The colors are exactly what I expected and they blend beautifully.
- Brushes--They are so soft and full and make application easy.
What's still undecided:
- Cosmetic Wet Wipes. They seem to take off my foundation and blush just fine but I am not sure they are for me. If you saw my youtube video about this haul I mentioned that these were the first wipes I had tried so perhaps it is just the process that isn't for me. I still need to use separate product for eye makeup remover so I don't see how these save a lot of time. However, after using these wipe my skin is soooo soft! So maybe they will grow on me yet!
What I am a little peeved about:
- The finish of my shimmery blushes. All in all I ended up with 3 matte blushes and 3 shimmers. While the colors are gorgeous the shimmer can be a little much. It's like having a built in highlighter but, if applied wrong I highlight my pores which don't need any more attention.
All in all I am super happy with my purchase and plan on making another one, sooner than later~!

Children's Artwork Nail Design
When I sat down to do my nails I though to myself, "Audrey, ladybugs!" and after painting the light blue background I decided against. My niece had sent me some artwork and that is where the inspiration for this design came from. I think I might do a version of this for each season--Let me know what you think!
This design reminds me of being back in elementary school and let me tell you--I loved art class! It was my favorite subject! I had a lot of fun with this design mainly because I got to make the light blue color. For those of you who are new to nailpolish the process of creating/mixing your own color is called "Frankening" sort of like creating your own little Franken-polish...

Buying things that I shouldn't--at least not right now!
Please read the EDIT/UPDATE at the bottom of this post!
So, I don't know who to thank for my latest Etsy obsession.
On top of Etsy, Everyday Minerals has really caught my eye. Since the first time I heard about the sample kit I wanted to give it a shot. I have NEVER worn mineral foundation/concealer/corrector ever but the concept has always seemed like a good one to m e. I ordered a sample kit 6 weeks ago and never received it. Now that did leave me a little peeved to say the least, and the fact that the company isn't helpful at all with regards to my problem doesn't help. After giving up on the sample kit I dove straight in and order the Super Custom Kit in which you get 12 full size items for $50 and that includes everything on the website. Now, since I didn't know what color to order for foundation I chose only one face color then ordered a sample kit (again) to try and figure out my color. The full size color I chose seemed like it would match but could also be mixed to match my skin.
All in all I ordered:
Super Custom Kit
and:
2 large mixing jars
A small blush in Deep Wine
and Cosmetic Wipes
I have also order quite a few shadows from Calypso Minerals coming and not to mention a shopping cart full of Luxe Minerals and Moons harvest bubble bars. As soon as I get my goodies in hand I will put up some swatches and reviews!
In the mean time here is what I have coming from Calypso Minerals:
EDIT/UPDATE: There is a reason swatches and what no were never posted--I received only half of my order and lost about $90. I've totally been forgetting to update this post and a comment today made me remember so thanks to you! Please shop at your own risk--I am NOT endorsing this company at all!

- It could be xsparkage for talking about Calypso Minerals or it could be...
- CourtCosmetics talking about Moon's Harvest or even...
- LePooke for the Anderson Soap Company

Flying Bumble Bee Nail Design
So, I know that I am a bit biased but I do think that this is one of the cutest nail designs that I have done. It makes the bees look like they have jumped out of a cartoon like Winnie the Pooh instead of from a hive. It also makes me want one as a pet--but alas I am allergic so no bee keeping for me.
