Tie Dye Nails and Water Marbling

Water Marbling with multiple colors can be a big pain to do but, at the same time the results can be fun and unique. Recreating an exact pattern takes a lot of skill but many patterns can be accomplished with practice.
Likewise, the saturation or opacity of the color can vary depending on the brand and finish of the polish. I've also found that shimmers retain their finish but provide very little coverage. As I've mentioned before creme finishes are my favorite, and 4/5 colors used were cremes.

Have you ever tried water marbling? Let me know in the comment section!

  1. i actually just did this the other day with a red, a brown-ish color, and a pale pink. to add a little pop i put on a white base coat first and it looked so cute! i just took it off though to use my new yellow polish!

  2. oh... i forgot to mention what i do to keep my fingers clean. just a little tip so you don't need a bunch of nail polish remover =) . i put a peice of tape right under my cuticle and wrap it all around. then i get another peice of tape and put it along the sides of my nail and the top. it works so well!

  4. so i saw your video of this on youtube a couple months ago, but today i finally got around to trying it. so i did it and then decided to look on youtube for your video to see if i did do it right.. to say the least i totallllly messed it up. however what i made actually doesn't look half bad. i thought you were suppose to take the toothpick and swirl it in the water and whatever you got on the end goes on your nails. the end result is a little insane and crazy, some may hate it, but honestly i loved it. hah it kind of loooks like a jovani dress. but love your tutorials!, keeeeep it up! :)

  8. When ever i put the toothpick in to swirl the colors, the nail polish would just stick to the toothpick. What's going wrong?

It sounds like the polish is setting up on top of the water so be mindful of these two tips!Use warmer water.
Don't be around any sources of blowing air (fan, vent, etc).
